#endpoverty
As a hospitality brand on social media, you want to communicate a variety of things. You want to show off your property, your feeling for hospitality, and the great food you (or your area) has to offer.
But if you want to become a real brand, then you ought to do more. If you wonder why you should become a brand, then the answer’s quite simple: being a ‘brand’ increases the likelihood of people thinking of you when they need/want a place to stay or to eat. Meaning you’ll be more top of mind.
A simple example shows this.
Fast food? McDonalds.
Online store? Amazon.
Electric car? Tesla.
Sports clothing? Nike.
Coffee store? Starbucks.
The same thing happens for places in your town. Just ask around and you’ll notice.
Now, you may wonder what this has to do with today’s #endpoverty (global day against poverty). It’s quite simple though: these big brands I just named have one thing in common. They take a stance in global issues. They show their opinion.
Hence I encourage you to do the same today.
- Spark: grab the attention by stating a problem. “There is too much poverty”, “The world is unequal”, “Give a meal”.
- Foster: tell more about what you do to fight poverty OR inspire people to look up a specific organization OR create some incentive. In the Foster part, you tell why this is important to the world – not just to you. Make it about your guest.
- Move: and in the move part, give them another call to action.
