World Tourism Day #WTD2020
Today’s World Tourism Day. Over the past six decades, tourism has experienced continued expansion and diversification, and it has become one of the fastest growing and most important economic sectors in the world. This year, the tourism industry took a bit hit because of COVID. We all know that, and all of us Tribers have experienced the consequences.
However, tourism, at some point, will pick up again. And with that thought in our minds, let’s just celebrate tourism today. Tourism as a whole. The ‘exploring things beyond our own borders’. Borders sometimes being the front door. Because there is so much to explore, even within a 100 feet radius of where you live!
- First, let’s write a text. This will guide the visuals and make it much easier to decide which photo or graphic to pick. Spark, Foster, Move my friends.
- Struggling with a text? You could inform people about what World Tourism Day is, and what you expect for the future, or what you hope, or what you think about tourism as a whole.
- Now find a visual to put along with the text! Maybe you’ve got a picture of you traveling, or a suitcase, or tourists enjoying your food at your place, or a stash of postcards or stamps in your passport!

Tourism makes the world a better place! It makes us more understanding of other cultures and more aware of the fragility of our environment. It raises standards of living through free trade of traditional handcrafts, hiring local for tourism infrastructure, and encouraging education. Tourism generated US$7.6 trillion worldwide (2017), which is 10.2% of global GDP and supports a total of 292 million jobs (2016), which is 1 in 10 of all jobs in the world. What's not to love? Support the world by exploring it!⠀ ⠀ #worldtourismday #travel #wanderlust #culture #diversity #explore #adventure #celebratetourism #itsoktobeatourist #economy
