Each month I share 5 hotel logos that deserve some attention. Hotel logos that are different, authentic and manage to really communicate the brand behind it. I hope these logos inspire you, either if you’re working with a designer on your own (next) brand, or if you’re a designer yourself. Whether you’re just starting out or are in the process of rebranding, these logos might give you the spark you were looking for. Enjoy!
1: Martins Hotels
The Martin’s Hotels is a small chain of hotels in Belgium, all with its own special key features. They’re charming hotels, pretty high class. The logo fits this style. It’s chic and delicate.
2: Villa Augustus
The super-duper authentic logo with two hand-drawn bunnies for Villa Augustus, a hotel & restaurant in the middle of a (vegetable) garden, in Dordrecht (near Rotterdam in the Netherlands). This hotel truly has its own style.
3: Kruisherenhotel
Not entirely sure what I think of this design. It’s not my favorite style. But I can’t deny it’s a recognizable logo, distinct from others. It fits the style of the hotel and does translate the brand very well. The logo for hotel Kruisherenhotel in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
4: Blooming
The very simple, yet authentic logo design for Blooming Hotel in Bergen, the Netherlands. It’s nothing too special but by removing the dot on the ‘i’ and placing the text more to the left, it creates something special.
5: Hotel Pilar
I’m a big believer in icons, symbols or illustrations in logos. I believe they are the best way to create a recognizable logo. But sometimes only typography will do. The best example of course being Coca Cola. Hotel Pilar in Antwerp has a typographic logo that just seems right. It fits the brand, the light and happy, yet sophisticated vibe they try to communicate.
To wrap it up
So, that’s it for this month.
